Honeymoon- The Bahamas

We got married on June 13th (pictures will be here soon, I hope!) and are have really enjoyed our first month of marriage and looking forward to many more!

My Uncle Don & Aunt Katie gave us a wonderful present. They were so generous as to give us a week at their time share! So, we were fortunate enough to spend a week in Nassau, Bahamas at the Sheraton Cable Beach Resort! It was fabulous, we even lucked out and got the Honeymoon suite. The view was beautiful from our balcony.

Our favorite part of the trip was definitely the excursion to The Exumas. Powerboat Adventures (http://www.powerboatadventures.com/) picks you up from your hotel first thing in the morning and you take an hour long boat ride to the company's private island. The day is full of activities including: feeding native iguanas, feeding stingrays, and even watching the guides feed the MANY sharks in the reef. Then we went snorkeling, such an exciting thing, especially after watching the sharks. When we were snorkeling we saw some of the sharks swimming with us, but they left us alone luckily!! While on the island they prepare are delicious, fresh Bahamian lunch. The food was great the entire trip, if you ever visit The Bahamas you must try the conch fritters, cracked conch and conch chowder. After a long, relaxing week at the beach, we returned home and got ready to move to our new place...pictures to come soon!
